Security of Supply
It is important that we can service your needs year after year. That's why we operate the largest vertically integrated fruit farm in the world. From the Maritimes of Canada to Maine, USA, we own, farm and process over 24,000 acres of our own Wild Blueberry land.
We employ inground irrigation across thousands of acres, greatly enhancing stability of supply. Annually we increase the number of fields under irrigation.
Having control over our the farming process allows us to control the harvest and processing of the product in order to ensure that our blueberries are flash frozen within hours of harvest at the peak of their freshness, maintaining all their goodness.
We have also developed a geographical diversity of supply through strategic alliances with independent fruit and vegetable growers. We have company farm headquarters and local management and employees farming in each region. These highly trained Wild Blueberry experts ensure very strict control on how all our farms are managed. The regional farm managers ensure that much of the farming for our network of independent growers and land owners is managed with the same strict control as company owned land. Integrity of our products is an absolute priority.
Consistency of supply extends well beyond the field. Our eight processing facilities in Nova Scotia and Maine are fully independent, ensuring further security from business interruption.
