carrots are always a healthy choice.
Carrots are rich in Beta-carotene. Beta-carotene, in addition to giving the carrot its name and orange color, also converts to vitamin A in the body, which helps improve vision.
But that's not all that carrots can do for you. The beta-carotene in carrots is an anti-oxidant combating the free radicals that contribute to conditions like cancer, heart disease, and macular degeneration.
Carrots also contain another anti-oxidant called alpha-carotene, which may help in the prevention of lung cancer.
Our carrots are brought direct from our farms to our processing facility in Oxford Nova Scotia, where we use the latest processing technology to slice and freeze our carrots and then store them in our large volume cold storage warehouses until they are ready to be sorted, packed and shipped.
We’ve been building trust with our customers not only with rigid adherence to our growing practices but also with the high standards we apply to the processing of our carrots. We use the latest sorting technologies to remove any foreign material and have a dedicated QA department, an on-site Microbiologist and state of the art Micro analysis equipment allowing for real time micro data on our products.
Our facilities are registered through the applicable government agencies (CFIA, USDA) and we ensure our quality systems meet local
and international customer requirements. We hold Quality Certifications such as AIB Food Safety and GMP, HACCP, BRCGS and Kosher.
