Oxford Frozen Foods is currently seeking for full time, year round material handlers to join our Production team within our Processing and Warehousing Facilities, located in Oxford, NS.

The material handler will handle, move, load and unload materials by hand or by operating a forklift.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload and move products and materials by operating a forklift
  • Perform other material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking.
  • Operate forklifts to transfer frozen or fresh  fruits or vegetables from transportation vehicles to processing lines or  storage areas
  • May perform other activities, such as opening containers and crates, filling warehouse orders, assisting in taking inventory and weighing and checking materials.

Requirements:

  • English Language – level four minimum
  • College or other certificate or diploma program
  • One-year similar experience

We offer competitive wages starting at $14.46/hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Oxford Frozen Foods is currently seeking ten full time, year round process operators to join our Production team within our Processing Facilities, located in Oxford, NS.

The process operator will control and operate multi-function process control machinery and single-function machines to process and package food.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verify specified processing conditions and make adjustments to processes used to peel and slice onions or process frozen blueberries or carrots
  • Set up and adjust processing and packaging machines
  • Operate single-function machines to box frozen fruits and vegetables
  • Check products to ensure conformance to company standards and clear machine blockages as required
  • Record production information such as quantity, weight, size, date and type of products packaged
  • Perform corrective machine adjustments, clean machines and immediate work areas.

Requirements:

  • English Language – level four minimum
  • College or other certificate or diploma program

The Opportunity

Acadian Wild Blueberry is currently recruiting for a Process Engineer to be based out of Bois-Gagnon, New Brunswick.  This position will report to the Engineering Manager located in Oxford, NS.

The ideal candidate is expected to pro-actively identify where processes can be adapted and optimized to ensure cost effectiveness. Throughout the design and implementation process, the Process Engineer will verify practices for efficiency and accuracy in order to ensure that they are safe and improve quality.

The Process Engineer must possess the capabilities to facilitate the change process within the organizations products and processes. Specifically, the Process Engineers duties will include developing an in-depth knowledge of: our supply base; strengths and weaknesses of internal procedures and business processes; strengths and weaknesses of equipment; and the strengths and weaknesses of key personnel who contribute to the quality of the products and services offered by the organization.

This position provides the unique opportunity to be involved with construction and commissioning of the new facility.  You will have exposure to refrigeration systems, electrical and mechanical disciplines through production process improvements and capital projects.  You have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering in either the Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical discipline. Ideally, you have PLC, AutoCAD and processing experience.  A team player, you are computer literate with strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have proven hands- on abilities and experience, and significant team management, leadership, and motivational experience.
