Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the safe and timely execution of the daily shipping schedule.

You must be able to work well with details and others.

This position requires the ability to function effectively and efficiently in a computerized environment.

You are responsible for assigning the daily duties to the shipping team including forklift operators within your department.  You have proven your ability to lead a team, organize, communicate, navigate conflict and performance manage.  You must possess strong analysis/problem solving and communication skills.

Requirements and Duties:

 

  • Grade XII education or equivalent preferred
  • Experience operating lift trucks would be an asset  (either counter balance or high reach)
  • Must be able to work unsupervised and work well with others
  • May be required to work in freezer temperatures
  • Computer training and food safety training will be an asset
  • Safety training will be required
  • Must be able to keep organized, up to date records and keep work area tidy

Oxford is committed to employee growth and development and is currently seeking applications from individuals interested in joining our dynamic work team as an industrial electrician.

 

Mission:  Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all automated equipment, make recommendations on changes to equipment, method or product, and perform general electrical maintenance duties.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Required to troubleshoot, maintain and repair all automated equipment
  • Make recommendations on changes to equipment, method or product
  • Ability to perform moderate mechanical repairs and assist other trades as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all automated and electrical systems
  • Ability t work from blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to perform new electrical installations up to 600V.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Have thorough knowledge of instrumentation, PLC’s, HMIs, and related programming
  • Ensure all safety devices are properly adjusted, in place and all procedures are followed
  • Follow all safety procedures (Government regulations and Co. rules) and work in a safe manner
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout the plant and especially in area of work
  • All other duties as assigned by management personnel
  • Participate in Improvement Idea Program Meet or exceed requirements
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Able to be on call
  • Able to work various shifts

Job Requirements

Education:  Minimum Grade 12

Experience:  3-5 years experience as electrician in industrial environment

Language:  English fluency

OXFORD FROZEN FOODS LIMITED, Oxford location, has openings for Line Supervisors.  These roles are responsible for every aspect of the production process related to the lines.  Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the effective and safe operation of the lines.

 

You must be able to work unsupervised and work a variety of shift schedules. Excellent judgment and solid problem solving skills are required.  As a leader, you must motivate, communicate effectively and work well with others.  A strong technical aptitude and sense of urgency are mandatory.

Must be able to operate a tractor and will be away from home in remote /rural locations.  Must provide your own harvesting equipment and tractors.  

Required Skills:
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Good working knowledge of farm (or heavy equipment) and ability to         operate tractor and harvester
• Able to work in a fast paced  physically demanding environment
• Ability to multi task

Very specialized skill – as it relates to blueberry harvesting.

You will be caring for and moving flats of bees to pollinate blueberry crops.  Experienced workers are paid $13.03/hr.
