Senior Leadership Team:
John Bragg
President and CEO
John Bragg, President and Co-CEO of Oxford Frozen Foods Limited graduated from Mount Allison University with degrees in Commerce and Education. Mr. Bragg established Oxford Frozen Foods in 1968. Today, he is the CEO of various Bragg Group businesses and serves as an active member on the board of directors for companies such as Sobey's Inc., Empire Co. Ltd. and TD Bank. He remains actively involved with the company and continues to re-invest heavily in the future of Oxford Frozen Foods and the community that surrounds it. Mr. Bragg has received several entrepreneurial and educational awards and he is the past Chancellor of Mount Allison University and holds Honourary Degrees from several universities. He lives in Collingwood, Nova Scotia with his wife, Judy. He has two sons and two daughters who take active roles working in the various businesses.
David Hoffman
Co-CEO
David Hoffman, Co-CEO of Oxford Frozen Foods Limited and the Bragg Group of Companies, moved to Canada from the U.K. in 1982 after qualifying as a C.A.. David worked with KPMG in Halifax and Highliner Foods as Corporate Controller before moving to Oxford Frozen Foods in 1993.
David is President of FS Industries (real estate holdings), Vice Chairman of Buildrite Centres (Pierceys Building Supplies) and Corporate Director of all Group Companies. David is also currently the Canadian President and Chair of the Wild Blueberry Association of North America (WBANA) and is also a Director of the Shaw Group. David is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia and is a member of the Financial Executives International.
David currently resides in Oxford, Nova Scotia with his wife Nina. David is active in the community and the province of Nova Scotia and he currently sits on the Nomination Committee for the Nova Scotia Community College Foundation.
Sandro Bertossi
COO
Sandro has worked as a senior manager in the food industry since graduating from the MBA program at McGill, where he also completed an undergraduate degree in agriculture/forestry. He joined Oxford in February 2003 where he has assumed responsibility for the farming, production, engineering and sales functions for Oxford Frozen Foods, Cherryfield Foods, Bragg Lumber and Peninsula Foods. Sandro's previous experience was with General Mills - Canada in Montreal, where he was Operations Manager for three years. Prior to joining General Mills he spent eleven years with Nabisco Ltd., in the Montreal area, where he was Manufacturing Manager from 1993 to 2000. Before joining Nabisco he worked in the meat-packing industry for four years; two of those with a subsidiary of McCain Foods in Quebec City.
Milton Wood
CFO Oxford Frozen Foods
As Chief Financial Officer, Milton is responsible for accounting management, computer systems and IT equipment and applications development. Milton graduated from Mount Allison University in 1988 with a Bachelors of Commerce. He articled with Grant Thornton, Chartered Accountants in their Dartmouth office, receiving his C.A. designation in 1990. He joined Oxford Frozen Foods upon receiving his designation. Milton lives in the community with his family and is also a Wild Blueberry farmer.
Matthew Bragg
Vice President, Sales & Logistics
Matthew is one of four second generation siblings working in the family business. Born in 1968, the summer Oxford Frozen Foods was founded, Matthew has literally grown up with the business. Like his older brother and two younger sisters, he grew up in Collingwood close to the original family Wild Blueberry farm operations headquarters.
From a young age Matthew worked summers on the Wild Blueberry farm or in the processing factory in Oxford.
After graduating from Mount Allison University in 1990, he began work full time. Now with over 20 years experience in the companies' food and related companies, Matthew holds the position of Vice President of Sales and Logistics.
Matthew is married to Carla and has three sons. Living in the village of Collingwood, Matthew's boys are the seventh generation of the Bragg family to live in the area. Matthew is very active in the community sitting on a number of community groups and boards and is active in a number of sports as a participant or coach for his sons.
