ADHD Linked To Organophosphates

19/05/2010

CNN and the Today show reported on a 2010 study published in the journal “Pediatrics” which linked exposure to organophosphates to the increased risk of children between the ages of 8-15 acquiring Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
The study referenced a 2008 USDA US Pesticide Residue Program report which included results from the sampling of cultivated blueberries including fresh and frozen samples. These cultivated blueberry samples showed traces of the organophosphate Malathion.
Oxford Frozen Foods only farms and processes wild blueberries and we do not use Malathion. Please visit our Commitments tab on our website to learn more about our rigorous Food Safety Programs.
Wild blueberries are considered a superfood on the Antioxidant A list of fruits. Our wild blueberries are washed and individually quick frozen within hours of harvest, locking in all their field freshness and health benefits.
